Hey, I’m Sarah Curran personal trainer, nutritionist, Muay Thai fan, skincare nerd, and founder of The Bodybuilding Aesthetician.
This blog is where I bring together my academic background, real-life coaching experience, and obsession with skin health to help you train smarter, eat better, and feel more confident in your body inside and out.i wanted to provide a resource of all the knowledge I have gained through both experience and the courses I have completed because as much as I love Instagram, I have so much more to share than what will fit on a few slides on a short post.
My Background
I’ve built my career at the intersection of fitness, nutrition, and aesthetics and now teaching since I am completing my level 3 VTCT in this. My qualifications reflect that:
- MSc in Exercise & Nutrition (University of Chester)
– Research focused on weight cutting in combat sports - Level 9 in Lifestyle Medicine (Royal College of Surgeons)
- Level 9 in Exercise Prescription & Concussion (UCD)
- Level 9 in Skin & Hair Follicle Anatomy (UCD)
- Level 4 in Laser & Light Treatments
- Level 3 in Facial Electrics
- ITEC Level 2 Beauty Specialist & Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology
- Clean Health & PCA certifications in Physique Coaching & Nutrition
- Currently completing the IFBB Bodybuilding Master Course
I also spent five years working in a clinical toxicology lab with the HSE and have coached clients on the gym floor giving me hands-on experience that backs up the theory.
I’ve even run a marathon, because I love a challenge and believe in walking the walk.
